Using innovative BMR technology to provide a cohesive sound unmatched by rivals, the Cambridge Audio Aero 3 brings something special to the world of home cinema.
The Balanced Mode Radiator (BMR) principle
The Cambridge Audio Aero 3 speakers use a technology that sets them apart from other designs. Instead of conventional drive units, the Aero 3 uses twin 85mm BMR drivers for sensational results. Like normal two-way speakers, these larger BMR drive units cover the entire frequency response range from 80 - 22,000Hz but it's done without the need for two different types of drive unit and a quality-diminishing crossover.
Incredibly life-like sound
One type of driver means a much smoother transition between mid-range and treble and, therefore, incredibly life-like effects. In addition, the BMR drivers also images exceptionally well. When used in bi-pole mode this gives the rear soundstage exceptional depth and truly envelopes the listener with sound. As an alternative, the twin BMRs within each unit can be made to run separately (dual monopoles) to offer 7.1 surround from just two rear speakers.
Expertly designed
The cabinet comes in a choice of Dark Walnut or Black to suit all living environments. Designed to be wall mounted, fixings are included for flush wall fitting. The low profile design doesn't just radiate the sound well, it also proves unobtrusive - especially when compared to a bookshelf type speaker used at the rear. The end result is a cabinet that doesn't just look great but sounds great too.
The perfect match for a full Aero home cinema set-up but also highly impressive surround speakers in their own right, the Cambridge Audio Aero 3 offer high-end cinema surround for less.
